Furnell Family Vacation

A few weeks ago this is what the Furnell family called home...
Melbourne Beach!
Three years ago, my dad rented us this amazing beach house in Melbourne Beach, Florida and when it came time to do another reunion, we all decided this was the beach to come back to.

This was Norah's first time to the beach ever (sorry, lake michigan doesn't count).
She was OVER THE MOON every single day. It was obvious she is a beach bunny, just like her mother;)

Each day was as follows...
Wake up, eat breakfast, on the sand by 9-10am, play until lunch time, naps, repeat.
We honestly could not keep her out of the water, which was kind of exhausting. But luckily with a house full of people, Dan and I got a break!

We did take one day away form the beach and drove inland to Orlando for a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's! You know us Furnells, always needing a "Disney fix!"
Norah loved all the excitement that came with meeting the characters, she was in heaven!

So before the trip, my mom bought all the grandchildren these adorable shirts with their name and order number printed on the back. It's fun to see them all lined up.
(of course, Norah didn't understand why we wanted a picture of the BACK of her lol)

Here we are on our last day (sniff, sniff). Of course time goes by way too quickly when you're with family having a good time. But these are the trips our little ones will remember and I'm so grateful we have the opportunity to do this every few years.

I'm sure going to miss the sandy shores of Florida...Until next time!

Tracy Family Pictures

During our Tracy family reunion last month we had family pictures taken.
A good friend of mine from High School, Allix Atagi, is now a photographer and we hired her for the task of wrangling this bunch and I must say, she did a great job!

Of course the award for worst behaved goes to my child. But Allix did manage to capture a few smiles and/or Photoshop the rest ;)

The whole gang.

Norah's not much better in this one lol.

10 grandchildren and counting.

All seven children

Here's a few of my favorite family shots...

And a personal favorite...Norah and Grandma Tracy

Now the hard part...to pick which ones to frame and hang!

Tracy Family Reunion

A few weeks ago the Tracy family had their first family reunion. All seven kids, plus THEIR families! It's not very often all of us can get together at the same time so it was a special opportunity.
(this picture is slightly misleading because Rachel and Scott and the girls did not have the pleasure of going camping)

We packed up the car with camping gear and headed to MO to meet up with the Tracy Clan for a few days on the river. Sunny they told me it would be. Warm they said. Family tradition were words I heard. Instead we got rained out, literally. So after two wet nights, we packed up and headed back to camp Grandma where we spent the rest of our week playing.

Camping may not be my thing. But family is. I mean look at this crazy bunch...
I got pretty lucky;)

Camp Grandma was heaven for Norah. She got to play with her cousins. 10 cousins ranging in age from 1-6 years old. They swam in Grandma's pool, played dress up and doll house. I loved seeing her make memories with her cousins. I hope she has more opportunities like this to do so.
(Here they are watching Frozen on "Norah's" Ipad...as they called it. Sigh...)

We had an awesome time being with family we haven't seen in far too long and hope this can become a more regular thing.
Thanks for the memories everyone!
