Happy 4th

The fourth of July came at the tail end our extended stay in Missouri. Daniel flew out for the long weekend and we spent the holiday with his parents and his brother Adam and their family that was also visiting. The weather was perfect and we had an awesome time!

In the morning grandpa Tracy took the big kids fishing. I wasn't there but Daniel brought her home early if that gives you any indication on what she thought of it lol. Next time!

When they all got back Norah loved playing in grandma's new play house. She was making "tea" for everyone who walked by, or even if you weren't walking by lol.

Norah and her cousins Sarah, Ryan and Benjamin taking a quick break from playing to eat some of the yummy food we had!

If she wasn't in the play house she was in grandma's pool

The girlies

Too much fun. Seriously.

Ready for fireworks!!!

Helping dad light the fireworks

I had to keep telling her they weren't real snakes!

Hugs to grandma before heading inside and sleeping off the long day! The next morning we got up 5am and started making the drive back to Utah. Back to reality!

Missouri 2015

This summer I decided a trip home to Missouri with the kids is just what we needed. So we packed up the car and drove out there and stayed for almost 3 weeks! Poor Dan and Sadie had to stay back and hold down the fort. I've decided to include the top 5 highlights of our trip.

No.1 The Pool
My parents have a neighborhood pool and we were there almost every single day. Norah was my little fish! I forgot how much fun it is to just hang by the pool and get some sun. After nearly 3 weeks I still wasn't sick of it, and neither were the kids.

No 2 Sleepovers
Norah had her first sleepever with her cousins Avery and Sydney. Sleepevers with my cousins at grandma and grandpas is at the top of my list as far as childhood memories go and I'm so excited for Norah to start making her own! We had not one but TWO sleepovers with at grandma's hosue. We ate homemade ice cream on the deck, took bubbles baths in grandmas big tub and watched movies before zonking out. Good times!

No 3 Hamilton and his Grandpa
These two make me smile so much! I loved watching H and grandpa bond over the days we were home. I think these two are going to be best buddies.

No. 4 Boating
My dad rented a boat one of the days we were home for everyone to go out on. And we had a blast! I loved boating on Raintree lake (where my parents live) but haven't been in over 10 years! It was Norah and H's first time on a boat and I think they both approved. I'm thinking we should make this an annual tradition, so much fun!

No. 5 Family time
It was so nice to be home relaxing, watching the kids have the time of their life. I love spending time with my family and it's going to be hard adjusting back to real life after being at Grandma and Grandpas!
Example: Norah has already told me on more than one occasion, "I want my Nana (pouty face)"

Thanks for a fabuous time! Let's do it again next summer!
