2 Months

Our not so little baby is 2 months! Actually about 2 1/2 months now...I'm behind on my blogging!

About a week after 4th of July Grandma Tracy came to visit and meet her newest grand baby! While Darlene was in town we went ahead and had Norah's 2 month photo shoot because we would be in Missouri on the 17th, her actual 2 month marker.

The shoot started off well enough....

But turned not so well really fast lol

She was just not havin it! I was bummed I didn't get any really good shots of her, but I guess that's the whole point of doing this every month! Some months will be good, others may not be so good lol. It's all for posterity sake! I still can't believe how much she's grown in just one month, check out month one here

Norah has doubled her birth weight coming in at 14.3lbs and is 23 1/2 inches long. We call her "chubb-a-licious." We love our chunky little girl. It just makes us feel good we have one healthy babe!

4th of July

Our first 4th of July as a family was of course fun! What's not to love about friends, grilling and fireworks? Dan had the day off from work, but we didn't do much during the day because of the blazing heat. When it's 100 degrees outside and you don't have a pool or boat to be on you stay inside! But in the evening we met up with friends for some yummy food, and lots of it! Norah was of course the center of attention.

How could she not be? Look at this cutie-pie in her 4th of July finest!

Family photo...Man I love these two :)

Fireworks, compliments of my awesome camera!

There's something special about the 4th of July that I love so much. It's the heart of summer and the fireworks are magical! But it's a day dedicated to giving Thanks for our freedoms and the men and women who sacrificed and continue to sacrifice for those freedoms  that so often we take advantage of.
THANK YOU!

Day at the Beach...but it's really a Lake

This past weekend was our first trip to Lake Michigan as a family! There's one beach on the Lake Shore that is a dog beach and everyone brings their doggies and they get to play in the water. It was a lot of fun to let Sadie run wild while introducing Norah to the beach life. We hope she grows up to be a beach bunny like her Mama!

We packed food for the day and everything we could think of possible to keep Norah happy so far away from the house! We stayed nice and cool in the shade and took turns watching Sadie.

When Sadie was tired she would come lay by us in the shade. But then again, she would also go lay under other people's umbrella's in the shade....

We took Sadie to the beach last summer when she was a puppy (here), and she was veerrrry hesitant to get in the water. She actually wouldn't get in by herself at all. So we thought we would give her another chance now that she's older and needless to say...it was a success!

It's so new and fun to plan activities as a family and not just for me and Dan. I see many more beach trips in the future!
