Day at the Beach...but it's really a Lake

This past weekend was our first trip to Lake Michigan as a family! There's one beach on the Lake Shore that is a dog beach and everyone brings their doggies and they get to play in the water. It was a lot of fun to let Sadie run wild while introducing Norah to the beach life. We hope she grows up to be a beach bunny like her Mama!

We packed food for the day and everything we could think of possible to keep Norah happy so far away from the house! We stayed nice and cool in the shade and took turns watching Sadie. 

When Sadie was tired she would come lay by us in the shade. But then again, she would also go lay under other people's umbrella's in the shade....

We took Sadie to the beach last summer when she was a puppy (here), and she was veerrrry hesitant to get in the water. She actually wouldn't get in by herself at all. So we thought we would give her another chance now that she's older and needless to say...it was a success!

It's so new and fun to plan activities as a family and not just for me and Dan. I see many more beach trips in the future! 

First Month

So it's been a month since our baby girl joined our family! One month went by incredibly waaaay too fast! I wish time could just stop for a little bit while I cuddle my sweet Norah. Everyone keeps telling me how fast they grow and I'm afraid to blink!!! But over the the past month Norah's had some firsts and here they are...

First visitors

My mom and dad were here the first week of Norah's life and I'm so grateful they were able to have that time with her. I have a feeling there will be many visits by grandma and grandpa!

First bath

Ok so she HATED her baths at first when the cord stump was still on. She looks cozy in this pic but a split second later she was wailing! But now that the stump has fallen off she looooves her baths! I think most babies do...

First Walk

It was a nice afternoon so we thought we'd put Norah in the stroller and take Sadie on a walk. We didn't get far before she was not happy. So we ended up taking her out of the stroller and holding her during our walk lol

First Sunday

Norah was about 2 1/2 weeks old when we took her to church for the first time. We thought she'd just hang out in her car seat the whole time, but of course not. I had to stand and hold her most of the time! What a princess.

First monthly photo shoot

I got these monthly stickers from Etsy to document how Norah grows and changes month to month. And we got to break out month numero uno! Look how cute she is! 

I hate to brag and be one of those moms that think they're kids are the cutest. But lets be honest, I do have the cutest baby girl!!!

Norah's Room

It's FINALLY done!!! Norah's Room has been an on-going project for MONTHS now! It started when we moved into our house and the baby's room was bluuuuue. That had to change ASAP. I'm not a bubblegum pink kinda gal so we went with a pretty sage green. And the ideas came flowing from there! We went with an old-antique-like look and I loved how it all came together.
