Our One Year Anniversary!!!!

Happy Mom day to all on this wonderful afternoon. We want to let you all know that this past May 7th Meghann and Daniel experienced their best one year anniversary EVER! Oh, and Camille Tracy turned another year older.

Things are happening fast around here. Between Meghann graduating and finding an internship to Daniel getting laid off, taking the GMAT, and finding a new job all while waiting to find out if his 540 score will be good enough to get him into the school he wants; Thursday was the day of our one year and it was a modest one. After work, Daniel arrived to take his lovely wife out to the best restuarant in town... Taco Bell! If you can believe it, Daniel made it out of the anniversary dinner for under 10 dollars!

After the new Taco Bell taco salad, we exchanged gifts in which Daniel bought Meghann chocolate and Meghann made Daniel a Lemon Merigue pie. As you can tell in the picture, Meghann could not quite get the merang quite right. In fact, 2 hours and a whole carton of eggs later, she kinda got it right. While not the best looking pie, Daniel says it was the best tasting pie he had ever eaten.

To all those who couldn't be there...HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO US! And we thank you. One year down, and forever to go :)

Meg's Graduation Weekend!!!

She did it!!! On April 9th, Meghann made the march to get her diploma (actually it was a leather folder with nothing inside but it was exciting all the less).

Be began the weekend with Daniel picking up Jerry and Cheryl from the airport while Meghann was in class doing her final presentation as a college student! We had a few hours to kill when Meg got home and it is always a happy day when Meghann gets to see her parents. With cap and gown in hand we made our way to campus. Before the convocation Jerry was able to snap a few pics of our little college grad.

After the hustle and bustle of graduation we were all able to spend a relaxing weekend together. We went to the temple Friday morning and shopped (what we could) around Rexburg. Saturday it was off to the BIG city, Idaho Falls!

Of course the weekend wouldn't be complete without Easter pics! Cheryl made a fabulous Easter dinner for all of us. In fact we are still eating leftover ham! And Meghann even tried her hand at making a pie! She did great. Sadly there is no more pie....
Overall, the weekend was great. We are so proud of Meg and all that she has accomplished! Now we are just waiting for all of those after graduation checks!

All Hail the Royals!

ALL hail the Kansas City Royals!!! Today's blog is about the Spring Training in the Desert, Surprise and Good Year, AZ. We started the three day trip in Good Year where we were able to attend the opening of Good Year's finest baseball facility. Home of the Cleveland Indians and starting next year the Cincinatti Reds. We were able to tour the stadium and the spring training complex. It was super cool to walk around the complex and see the minor leaguers working out. When Daniel would talk with them they didn't even seem to mind the KC hat he was wearing. Odd, huh. Anyways the best part of the trip was the next day when we all went to the see the only team that matters... The Royals! We sat right behind the Royals' s dugout and during the National Anthem Daniel quickly snapped off this picture. George Brett, although a great ball player in his day, was being kinda stupid. After shouting his name from just behind the dugout, he wouldn't even turn around. PUNK. Daniel still likes you Brett, but you hurt his feelings a little.

Being able to sit so close and knowing that Meghann and Daniel would probably not be able to see the Royals during the season made this trip worth wild for Daniel. He was like that crazed overzealous fan that you only see in the movies! You know, those diehards that go to spring training to watch the studs play for two innings and then watch the minor leaguers play the rest. I did however get to watch some players take some cuts. In this picture is Alex Gordon. He had a bad day at the plate but Daniel was still like a kid in the candy store. In fact he was so happy, after he bought a pepsi at the ballpark he started dancing around. Some guy from Pepsi Cola, inc was there and sent in this home video to the Pepsi company. We are hoping that Daniel will rake in millions in royalties so he can pay for his MBA.

After the hoopla and fanfare died down Daniel made his way back to Idaho where his ever-so loving wife was waiting for him. Meghann made a zuccini fetacheni that our perfessional cook (Rachel Ray) taught her and it was delicious.
The next day Meghann drug Daniel out of the house and he finally bought new shoes. His faithful shoes of almost 5 years have unfortunity bit the dust. Plus, he couldn't run anymore so his new New Balance shoes will last that long!

Even though Meghann has a professional cook at her disposal, she on occasion still needs that precious time in the kitchen. We hope that she will be able to correct these little mishaps before kids come. What little kid would eat that! It was good but seriously, what little kid would eat that?
